We
Believe In Families
The Family: A Proclamation to the World teaches us, “the
first commandment that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential
for parenthood as husband and wife.” I think that is significant! Surely, we
can see in this that parenthood is a necessary and important part of Heavenly
Father’s Plan.
In addition, the Proclamation declares that
“God’s commandment for his children to multiply and replenish the earth remains
in force.” And yet, sadly, society promotes, “zero population.”
Elder Neil L. Anderson said parenting
“is a crowning privilege of a husband and wife.” The Gospel of Jesus Christ
helps us to understand that it is not only a sacred privilege to bring sweet
babies into the word, but we are actually helping fulfill Heavenly Father’s
eternal purposes!

I really enjoyed this read! It's sad that society sometimes has views that try to diminish the eternal flame of family. Thank you for promoting the faith to procreate in times that tell us to wait and wait!
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult in today's world explaining exactly what Heavenly Father wants us to do; His plan and how families fit in. World beliefs really are becoming further and further away from our gospel beliefs. Especially when it comes to family and marriage and procreation as a husband and wife. I know what I believe but not everyone believes those same religious beliefs any more. We are becoming more and more of a peculiar people.
ReplyDeleteAmazing to think that in less than 2 weeks all of our adult children will have been sealed in the temple for time and all eternity and in a sense, that generation of our family is now complete! I'll sit back in awe as the next generation continues to unfold!!??
ReplyDeleteglad to call this family mine...love you all!
